The TGI Golf Awards were held at the prestigious Fairmont St Andrews Resort, celebrating the achievements, professionalism, and commitment of TGI Golf Partners from across the UK and Ireland.

Set against the iconic backdrop of St Andrews, the awards evening brought together golf professionals, industry leaders, and brand partners to recognise excellence within the TGI group, with a particular focus on the individuals who consistently raise standards.

The Partner awards formed the centrepiece of the evening, recognising outstanding performance across key regions.

Conor McKenna of Banbridge Golf Club was named Irish Partner of the Year, while Chris Robinson from Portpatrick Dunskey Golf Club received the Scottish Partner of the Year award.

The North Region Partner of the Year accolade was presented to John Greenwood of Poulton le Fylde Golf Club, and Dan Carter of Weymouth Golf Club was recognised as South Region Partner of the Year.

The Associate Partner of the Year award, recognising premier venues and resorts within the TGI Golf Partnership that are proprietary owned and employ PGA Professionals to operate their retail outlets, was presented to The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, with Craig Dempster and Reece Mitchell collecting the award.

A particularly emotional highlight of the evening came with the presentation of the Ian Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award, which was awarded to Peter Hanna following his retirement from the golf industry late last year.

The 80th Captain of The PGA, Peter was recognised for an exceptional career defined by leadership, professionalism, and service to the game. The presentation was met with a standing ovation, reflecting the high esteem in which he is held across the industry.

The evening also raised £13,000 for the TGI Golf Foundation through a charity auction and raffle, with lots and prizes generously donated by Partner Suppliers. The funds will help support the Foundation’s work in supporting Partners’ charitable efforts and strengthening its close alliance with Make A Wish.

Adele McLean, Managing Director of TGI Golf, said: “The TGI Golf Awards are a celebration of everything that makes our partnership so strong. From regional Partner recognition to long-standing contribution and supplier support, the evening highlighted the incredible professionalism, commitment, and collaboration that exists across our network.

“Bringing everyone together at St Andrews to recognise excellence at every level of the business is always a special occasion, and the quality of this year’s winners truly reflects the strength of TGI Golf.”

Supplier awards were also presented during the evening, with all supplier categories decided by a vote among TGI Golf Partners, ensuring recognition is driven directly by retailer experience. PING was named Supplier of the Year for a 10th consecutive year, alongside Hardware Supplier of the Year and Product of the Year for the G440 range, while FootJoy received the Apparel Supplier of the Year award.

The TGI Golf awards reinforced the strength of the group and its focus on recognising excellence at every level of the partnership and reaffirmed TGI Golf’s commitment to supporting, recognising, and celebrating its Partners and Suppliers at the heart of the golf retail industry.

Lisa Lovatt, Managing Director of PING said: “To be nominated, and win, in three of the four categories is a huge achievement – we never lose that desire and appetite to win these awards. I'd like to thank Adele, the TGI team and the TGI Partners – the relationship that we have with the group goes from strength-to-strength, year after year.”
