Team Scotland added the final names to their team sheet this week after the second Partnership Trophy qualifier was held at Scotscraig Golf Club.
The final eight will be heading to Archerfield in East Lothian later this year to represent Scotland as they go up against teams of fellow TGI Partners who have qualified for Ireland and England & Wales.
The Partnership Trophy, sponsored by Callaway, Callaway Apparel, and TravisMathew, brings Partners from the home nations together to compete in a Ryder Cup-style showdown. The event offers exciting prizes from the sponsors and of course, the all-important matter of national pride.
Four Partners earned their spot on the team at the Scottish qualifier, held on May 20th at The Bishopbriggs Golf Club with Gordon Robertson (Drumpellier GC), Chris Robinson (Portpatrick Dunskey GC), Stephen Gray (Easter Moffat GC), and Callum Nicoll (Fairmont St. Andrews) all securing their place in the lineup.
The second qualifying event saw Alasdair McDonald (Pitreavie GC), Steven Maxwell (Paisley GC) & Andrew Hutchinson (Douglas Park GC) add their names to the team sheet.
Due to low numbers in the second qualifier at Scotscraig the Ratio Rule was implemented, which meant only three spots were available for the team, with the final position going to Graeme McDougall who finished fifth at The Bishopbriggs Golf Club.
Congratulations to all who qualified and will be heading to Archerfield for the main event which will be held from September 30th to October 3rd.
